Second Set of Lessons Produced Following the 2015 COTSEAL CBI Workshop

As part of the first CBI workshop, language-specific groups of instructors worked together in fall 2015 and spring 2016 to develop content-based language lessons. These lessons were then taught in classrooms and video recorded, and presented and discussed in the second COTSEAL workshop in June 2016. Here you can see the first group of lessons produced. Below are links to the second set of lessons produced by each language group (the Burmese group did not produce a second lesson, due to the fact that only two instructors are in that group), in the spring of 2016:

Filipino

Indonesian

Khmer

Thai

Vietnamese

In June, 2016, with funding from Title VI, a second professional development content-based instruction (CBI) workshop for Southeast Asian language instructors was held at UW-Madison, a follow-up of the 2015 CBI workshop at UC-Berkeley. Lessons produced at the second workshop can be seen here.

In September, 2017, a COTSEAL-sponsored conference was held at Cornell, with funding from the Luce Foundation. Information about that workshop can be found at this Cornell University-based website.

In 2018, the ACTFL Familiarization Workshop was held at the University of Michigan; lessons produced following that workshop can be found here.
